The Xiaomi 15 series is anticipated to be one of the initial collections to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. In addition to the launch of these new flagship smartphones, the company will also unveil its latest tablet series, the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro.

Xiaomi has introduced two new tablets today that merge an elegant design with impressive specifications at a competitive price, a combination that typically leads to success. However, it is important to acknowledge a notable observation. The Xiaomi 7 Pad and 7 Pro bear a striking resemblance to Apple’s iPad, but that’s certainly not a bad thing, on the contrary.

Key Specs

Moving on to the interesting part, both Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro feature similar 11.2-inch LCD displays. (3:2 aspect ratio) with 3200 x 2136 resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, and 800 nit peak brightness.

Battery

Camera Setups

A notable distinction between the two tablets lies in their camera setups. The standard model Xiaomi Pad 7 is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Whereas the Pad 7 Pro boasts a significantly enhanced 50-megapixel main sensor and a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies.

In terms of hardware specifications, the Pad 7 Pro emerges as the superior option. It operates on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, in contrast to the Pad 7, which utilizes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset

Both tablets will run Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 2.0 skin based on Android 15 straight out of the box. It promises more AI features and an enhanced UI for an improved tablet experience. While pricing details remain undisclosed, the launch event is just around the corner
